MONDAY 6 JULY
The Informal Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council takes place in Jonkoping, Sweden (until 9 July). Key items on the agenda include a discussion on vaccine co-operation. The UK will be represented by Gillian Merron, Minister of State for Public Health.
TUESDAY 7 JULY
The Economic and Financial Affairs Council takes place in Brussels. Key items on the agenda include conclusions on procyclicality and preparations for the forthcoming G20 meeting. Ian Pearson, the Treasury's Economic Secretary will represent the UK.
Tim Barrow, UK Representative to the Political and Security Committee, will represent the UK position in a regular weekly meeting with his EU counterparts (PSC).
WEDNESDAY 8 JULY
The European Commission launches a consultation on cross-border learning as well as proposals on procedural rights in criminal proceedings, access to the EURODAC fingerprints database and amendments to the Capital Requirements Directive.
Andy Lebrecht, Deputy UK Permanent Representative to the EU, will represent the UK position in a regular weekly meeting with his EU counterparts (COREPER I).
Kim Darroch, UK Permanent Representative to the EU, will represent the UK position in a regular weekly meeting with his EU counterparts (COREPER II).
THURSDAY 9 JULY
The UK Government and the European Commission sign an agreement on the limited use of Welsh in the Commission.
FRIDAY 10 JULY
The Economic and Financial Affairs Council takes place in Brussels. The key item on the agenda is the 2010 EC budget.
The PSC meets again.
