15 minutes by car to Gare du Midi/Zuidstation (Eurostar), about 30 minutes to the airport during peak times.

Between 5 and 10 minutes to EU buildings (on foot), across two or three roads depending on which building.

Main Entrance:

UKRep is now accessible to wheelchair users by way of a raised pavement leading to the front door. Unfortunately vehicular access right to the entrance is still not available due to security barriers but there is a drop off point about 10 metres from the doorway. The reception staff are always available to help, notice of your visit would be appreciated but is not necessary. There is a bell/speaker on the outer wall to gain the attention of the reception staff. Reception telephone number is 00 322 287 8000.

The main door opens outwards and is very heavy.

There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

There are Braille numbers in the lifts.


Brussels Permanent Representative to the EU's Residence

10 minutes by car to EU Quarter and UKRep. There is a disabled parking bay (for Blue Badge users) 50m from the Residence.

The Residence, a historic, listed building has no wheelchair access. The entrance is via stairs, the door is narrow, and the lift and toilets inaccessible for wheelchairs. But if you need to visit the Residence, eg for a reception, we will do what we can to help - please alert us of any special needs in advance.


British Embassy

There is wheelchair access to both the Embassy and Consular Section. Airlocks in Consular Section were changed some 5 years ago to accommodate wheelchairs and a lift installed.

There are adapted toilets for disabled visitors available on the ground floor.

No special lighting/signage. No Braille in the lifts.

No hearing loop nor phone assistance for deaf.
