Tim Barrow

Tim BarrowTim Barrow is the UK’s Representative on the EU’s Political and Security Committee which was established in 2000 and brings together representatives from all 27 Member States to discuss the EU’s European Security and Defence Policy and the Common Foreign and Security Policy.

Tim joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office over twenty years ago and has held a wide variety of jobs around the world from working in the British Embassy in Moscow to serving as Private Secretary to the late Robin Cook when he was Foreign Secretary. Like Andy and Kim, Tim has also worked at UKREP previously, as a member of the external relations team during the UK’s Presidency of the EU in 1998. Most recently, Tim was the UK’s Ambassador in Kiev.

Tim was educated in Warwick and studied English Language at Oxford University.  He is married with two sons and two daughters.
